Romédes has developed a metalworking machine designed to perform specialized drilling and tapping tasks on an aluminium cast product. The product is automatically fed, oriented, and separated. A Pick-and-placer places the product onto an indexing table with nine product positions. At these stations, four different drilling operations and three different tapping tasks are carried out.
Product feed using a belt hopper.
Feeding, orienting, and separating of products via a vibratory feeder with buffer and separation station.
Four drilling and three tapping tasks.
Minimum output of 8 products per minute.
This automated Machining Center delivers a higher output without compromising on quality. After each task, a control check is performed to verify whether the drill is still intact. If a drill is broken, the machine stops automatically, minimizing the risk of production errors and unexpected machine downtime.
