The Rope Insert Machine was developed for a propagation company that cultivates young plants until they are ready for sale. The machine prepares plastic trays containing 60 cups by perforating holes in them. Using a punching unit, two holes are simultaneously punched into the bottom of each cup. Then, ten ropes are threaded through these holes.
Punching unit equipped with 60 punching tools.
Two holes on the sides of each cup.
Plastic waste is electrostatically discharged and extracted.
Rope breakage detection and empty spool detection.
Automatic rope change system for continuous operation.
Dual-lane machine design.
12 plastic trays per minute.
The Rope Insert Machine automates a process that is nearly impossible to carry out manually. Punching the holes and inserting the ropes would otherwise be extremely time-consuming. Yet it’s a process well worth automating: inserting ropes into the trays enables more even water distribution, which optimizes plant growth and reduces plant loss to nearly zero.
